The new SCI Corporate website set out to significantly improve the overall SCI/Dignity message to investors and prospective employees.
Timeline
Although a huge cross-functional effort and certain developmental dependencies with third party vendors for some portions of the site, we were able to launch the within three and a half months.
Background
Through a collaborative effort between Marketing, IT, Corporate Communications, HR, Business Development and Investor Relations, the new site tells our company message in a powerful way, speaking to our Great Place to Work awards, our diversity, our unique brand portfolio, and company purpose.
The project team (seventeen members total) consisted of Project Leadership, Digital/Product, IT and Brand Marketing, along with 4 different vendors responsible for the financial section integrations. I was designated as the design lead working with one of our own designers on the project.
Research & Planning
I was responsible for the UX portion of a full-day workshop, where I was able to validate 4 key personas along with their jobs-to-be-done, administer a card sorting exercise for input on the site IA, validate the digital branding and colors, and communicate the guiding principles used to shape the overall experience. Collaboratively as a group, we developed goals and KPIs, and prioritized features with input from our stakeholders and SMEs for a minimally viable product (MVP).
Design & Prototyping
Worked closely with the designer to asynchronously create a holistic design system, and deliver over forty desktop and mobile wireframes and high-fidelity compositions to both the working IT team and third-party vendor development teams.
Testing & Implementation
The new corporate website provided an exceptional mobile and desktop experience, and demonstrated SCI's digital leadership in the industry to investors, job seekers, partners, and associates.
After launch, feedback from both internal and external audiences was overwhelmingly positive. We observed increased traffic and engagement across the board, and received high marks from our HR partners due to the newly refreshed Careers experience.
